Last Sunday, July 10th, Dr. Pedro Cavadas made headlines after performing the world’s first double-leg transplant. By all accounts, it was a historic procedure.

"Today we can say a landmark has been reached," Dr. Rafael Matesanz, director of the National Transplant Organization, told the Associated Press.
