On today's Wilshire & Washington, we have a very special guest: Adam Kokesh, a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps Reserve and a veteran of the Iraq War. He's also running for Congress in New Mexico. At only 27, he has an understanding of the war in Iraq better than most of us, and he has taken a firm anti-US-occupation stance on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. He bravely takes a few questions from Ted, Teresa, and Maegan: Should the US be an isolationist power? Shouldn't we look more closely at the real-world effects of waging two wars overseas, costing us billions? What will it mean to the Middle East's power struggle for the US to withdraw its troops from Iraq?
We also chat about the President's press conference yesterday, and how it's getting suddenly a little more contentious between Obama and the press. It looks like, despite Fox News' claims that the MSM is in bed with Obama, the press is going to take its role seriously to take on the administration, just like the President demanded on the campaign trail. On a relevant topic, what about this all-day ABC special on the President and NBC's "reality" show inside the White House? Is it too much Obama? What's next? "Michelle and Barack and Two" on TLC? Doesn't quite have the same ring, does it?
