Hip-hop fans have been waiting for an Outkast reunion for some time -- and now they have Frank Ocean to thank.

Though it's not a reunion in the truest sense of the word, Big Boi will make appear on an upcoming remix of Ocean's song "Pink Matter." The original track appeared on his chart topping album "channel ORANGE" but only included a little lyrical assistance from Andre 3000.

Big Boi verified his feature on the updated version through a post on his Tumblr page. "Dropping a verse on this Frank Ocean 'Pink Matter,'” he wrote alongside a photo depicting lyrics on a sheet of paper. Consequence of Sound also reached out to the rapper's team, confirming that he'll be adding a verse to the song.

During the summer Big Boi tweeted that Ocean wanted him to be included on the original version of "Pink Matter" but that Dr. Dre wasn't a fan of the idea.

Outkast's last album "Idewild" was released in 2006 and Big Boi's newest solo album "Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors" was released this past December.
