On November 9th, 2016, after the longest US presidential election in modern history, Donald J. Trump was named the 45th president of the United States. His win over Hillary Clinton was especially tough because the world was all but sure we'd have our first woman president. For what it's worth, she did win the popular vote (too bad it's worth nothing).
There is now a great deal of uncertainty surrounding the rights of minorities, climate change, and greater future of our country. People have already taken to the streets to protest this monumental moment in American politics and the signs of civil unrest don't really show any sign of slowing down.
