Disney is already planning a sequel to "Oz The Great and Powerful" just as the James Franco film hits theaters

Variety reports that Mitchell Kapner, who penned the script for "Oz: The Great and Powerful" with David Lindsay-Abaire, has been tapped to write the screenplay for the follow-up to "Oz."

As for the cast members, each seems open to the possibility of a second "Oz."

"We're all signed on for sequels," Mila Kunis, who plays the jilted witch Theodora in the film, told E!. Rachel Weisz, who plays Kunis' witch sister in "Oz," also spoke to E! about her thoughts on a sequel, saying, "I hope so. If there is one, I'd love to be in it."

As for Michelle Williams, the actress told E! that her involvement has a lot to do with that of director Sam Raimi, but Raimi himself may not be on board for a sequel, telling the publication, "I'm not signed up for a sequel and I have no plans right now to make a sequel."

"Oz: The Great and Powerful" has received mixed reviews from critics but is expected to show a strong box office run. Variety reports that Disney is looking for a quick turnover for the second "Oz" film.
