Padres Fan Makes Barehanded Foul Ball Catch (VIDEO)

WATCH: Fan Makes Amazing Barehanded Foul Ball Catch

Out of all the foul ball opportunities fans have capitalized during this baseball season, Padres fans sure seem to have been involved in a lot of them. One caught a foul ball in a beer. Another snagged one with a broken arm. On Wednesday evening, a Padres fan caught a sharply hit foul ball thanks to a lighting-fast reaction.

In the bottom of the first inning, San Diego leadoff hitter Chase Headley fouled off a pitch from James McDonald, sending it behind him up toward the second deck. One fan sprung out his seat, reached up and snagged the liner with his barehand.

It sounded as if most of the fans in attendance witnessed the catch as several let out loud "oohs” and “aahs” before giving the fan a round of applause.
