Parachuter Catches Some Serious Air While Surfing On Wingsuiter's Back

Talk about having your friend's back.

Amazing video taken over the North Shore of Oahu in Hawaii shows a parachuter standing on the back of a wingsuit pilot as they soar toward the ground.

"It's one of the more advanced maneuvers that we do in the sky," Maui Owens, owner of the Honolulu Kite School, told the Huffington Post Tuesday of the scene he shot last month.

Two of Owens' friends, whom he described as "top athletes in skydiving," are seen pulling off the death-defying stunt called XRW, or cross-relative work.

The maneuver has the wingsuit pilot position himself beneath the parachuter. Once in place, the parachuter gently touches down.

"It can last anywhere from a few seconds to 20-30 seconds," Owens said. "It's the one five-star maneuver everyone's trying to achieve right now."

Before touching down, the individual in the wingsuit pilot deploys his or her own parachute, allowing for a safe landing.
