Making dad proud.
Paris Jackson, the only daughter of superstar Michael Jackson, celebrated turning 18 by getting a tattoo with the words "Queen of My Heart" on her wrist to honor her late father. Paris, who is now rocking a short blond pixie cut, shared a sweet photo of herself on Instagram to debut her new ink.
"Queen of My Heart" in his handwriting. To everyone else he was the King of Pop. To me, well, he was the king of my heart," she captioned the black-and-white photo.
Jackson, who was only 11 years old when her father died in 2009, brought her cousin Austin Brown along to see Justin Lewis of Timeless Tattoo in Los Angeles on Tuesday to get the tat.
"Paris Michael Jackson got her tattoo today, letters from her father, so sweet. #parisjackson and Austin Brown her cousin," the tattoo artist captioned a a photo showing off his handiwork.
Apparently, Paris' brother Prince liked her tattoo so much that he decided to follow suit and get one of his own the next day, according to Page Six. The family that tattoos together stays together?
Paris, clearly very connected to her family's legacy, also decided to pay tribute to another important influence in her life, Michael's mother, Katherine Jackson. On Wednesday, she showed off another tattoo on Instagram, a flower with the Chinese transliteration of the name Katherine underneath it, dedicated to her grandma.
"'Kǎisèlín; for Grandma Katherine, done by the ink goddess herself @thetattooprincess. Love you, G-Ma," she wrote.
Jackson regularly pays tribute to her father on social media to remind her followers that although Michael may be gone, he'll never be forgotten.
