Park51 Imam Countersuing 9/11 Responder, Claims $350M Lawsuit Nothing But 'Blind Bigotry'

Former 9/11 responder Vincent Forras is suing the developers behind Park51 for $350 million, to compensate him for suffering Park51's 'psychological terrorism'. According to the Post, Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, the developer behind Park51, is now filing a countersuit, arguing Forras' suit is nothing but "blind bigotry."

In his filing Forras calls the Park51 project in his filing a "monument to the jihadists' victory over American ideals of freedom and democracy, [and] a desecration of the terrible sacrifice made by those innocents attacked."

Rauf and wife Daisy Khan have recently received death threats for their proposed cultural center near ground zero. The NYPD has since assigned to them a point person for their own protection.

Rauf and Park51 are seeking $50,000 in damages and legal fees, and aim to dismiss Forras' suit as nothing more than a publicity stunt.

In 2006 Forras appeared in a CBS Early Show segment about injured firefighters. WATCH:
