CARBOHYDRATES
We love carbohydrates - pasta, ramen, bread, pastries, potatoes. And donuts, don’t forget donuts. A few of our favorite spots to indulge:
Bread:
Standard Baking - can’t be beat for French bread, croissants and sticky buns. Seriously. Can’t. Be. Beat.
75 Commercial St., Portland, Maine.

Noodles:
Shojo - Ramen. Mazeman. And bao. Be the king (or queen) of lunch.
9 A Tyler St., Boston
Centrolina - Oh the tagliolini, with mushrooms, and the neri, the squid ink pasta with seafood. So much goodness.
974 Palmer Alley NW., Washington, D.C.
momofuku noodle bar - Thanks to momofuku we have occasional chilled spicy noodles withdrawals.
171 1st Ave., NYC
Potatoes:
Blue Rooster Food Co. - So many tater tots. Eight versions of tots to be exact. We’re huge fans of the Early Bird with maple mayo, fried egg and hot sauce.
5 Dana St., Portland, Maine
Donuts:
Union Square Donuts - The Belgian dark chocolate, the orange cardamom poppy and the vanilla bean are our current favorites but that’s today. Honestly, we like ALL the donuts.
20 Bow St., Union Sq., Somerville

Doughnuttery - You know what’s particularly awesome about these donuts? The size. Mini. So you can eat more.
Chelsea Market, NYC
Holy Donut - Everyone loves the chocolate sea salt, and it deserves such devotion. But we love the pomegranate, it’s so pink and tastes great.
194 Park Ave., Portland, Maine
District Doughnut - Maple butter pecan, how did we survive without it?
749 8th St. SE, Washington D.C.
