Pat Houston Breaks Her Silence On Bobbi Kristina Brown's Death

Houston shares the one thing she would say to Bobbi Kristina now.

Three months after the death of Bobbi Kristina Brown, Pat Houston, Whitney’s sister-in-law and former manager, has broken her silence about the late 22-year-old.

In an exclusive interview with ET, Houston said she initially planned to have an intervention with Bobbi Kristina before discovering that she was hospitalized after being found unresponsive.

"When we really found out that Krissy was in trouble, we were really making plans to do something about it," she said, before adding, “but it just came too late."

Last year, Houston filed a restraining order against Brown’s boyfriend, Nick Gordon, after he allegedly made threats towards her family and posted photos with guns on social media. In retrospect, Houston says the court order affected her relationship with Brown.

“We had a little hiccup with the restraining order. She didn’t understand it,” she said. "Where the world saw that she was angry and mad at me, and she was texting me all along. I really tried to show her [that] I'm going to do this to let you know that you don't have to be afraid of anything. I got you.'"

Houston then told ET the one thing she would tell Brown if she was still alive today: “You don’t have to be afraid to speak out. You have to have self-worth, you have to love yourself. You have to call on people, and not allow someone to divide you and then conquer you.”
