Paterson Website Still Urges Viewers To Join The 2010 Campaign

Gov. David Paterson (D-N.Y.) announced on Friday that he will not be running for reelection in 2010, citing an inability to govern the state and campaign while ethics questions swirl around him.

Apparently, he forgot to tell his web team.

Paterson's reelection website is still very much operational two hours or so after he confirmed his retirement. There is even a news page announcing the "Campaign Kick-Off" scheduled for this Sunday in New York City, as well as a plea for viewers to volunteer for his campaign.

"To accomplish what New York State needs at this difficult and challenging time, Governor Paterson needs your help," the site said. "The challenges facing New York State are huge, and Governor Paterson needs your help to tackle critical issues like job creation, affordable healthcare and housing."

Here is a screen grab of the site, urging viewers to "Join The Campaign."
