Patrick Kane Brings His Playoff Mullet Back (VIDEO)

The Playoff Mullet Returns

Though they may not have gotten there gracefully, the Chicago Blackhawks are heading to the playoffs yet again--and their star winger Patrick Kane is bringing back his lucky mullet.

Kane showed off the mullet to reporters Monday, according to NBC Chicago.

"It's back," he said. (Scroll down for video) "Hopefully I didn't cut it into this for a short stint."

Last year, Kane said he got the mullet because he had a hard time growing a proper playoff beard.

"I'll kinda look a little trashy for a little bit, but it's fun and the boys all got a good laugh out of it," he said before the Hawks won the 2010 Stanley Cup. "So that's what it's all about I guess."

Kane and the Blackhawks got lucky Sunday night, when the Dallas Stars lost 5-3 in their former home of Minnesota and handed the No. 8 seed to Chicago in the final game of the regular season. The Blackhawks will take on the top-seeded Vancouver Canucks in the first round.

"Right after the Minnesota game that was my first phone call, actually, to my barber and he made the trip downtown, opened up the shop and gave me a quick haircut," Kane told reporters Monday.
