Really, are there closer friends in the world than Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan?
The duo took a break from rehearsals for Broadway classics "No Man's Land" and "Waiting For Godot," which both feature both actors, to stop by one of New York City's historic landmarks for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) movement: a monument commemorating the historic night at Stonewall Inn in 1969.
Is this picture a commentary on Vladimir & Estragon's relationship in "Waiting For Godot"? Are the two making a statement about the the invisible and erased history of LGBT people prior to Stonewall? Or are they literally just hanging out?
Who knows -- but we certainly can't get enough of these two. Cheers to you, Ian and Patrick!
