Paul McCartney's 'Queenie Eye' Video Shoot Includes Beatles Stories, Johnny Depp

The Beatles Song Paul McCartney Was 'Terrified' To Record

Paul McCartney's "Queenie Eye" video is set to debut later this week, but HuffPost Entertainment is pleased to exclusively take you behind the scenes of the star-studded Abbey Road Studios shoot today.

In a six-minute clip that features the likes of Johnny Depp, Meryl Streep and a host of other luminaries, McCartney reveals the inspiration behind the song. "Queenie Eye" is named after a game that was popular with children in Liverpool, where the Beatles formed and McCartney grew up. The single is off of McCartney's album, "NEW," which landed in stores on Oct. 15.

There's an inherent thrill to watching McCartney work in the studio where the Beatles' first single, "Love Me Do," was filmed, an excitement McCartney builds upon by sharing some of his most vivid memories from the period:

So George Martin came down and he said, "Um, John, I wonder if you could just not sing that line and just do the harmonica thing." He said, "One of the other guys can sing it." And he looks at me and says, "Paul, you can sing it." And I go, "Yeah, OK." I'm thinking, "Oh my god," and everything stops. I'm in Abbey Road, first time ever, and I've got to take this lead vocal line, and I know that all the guys back in Liverpool in all the other groups are going to kill me, because it's not my line. It's John's line. So, I can still hear, [in rough voice] "Love me do-oo--o," because I'm standing right here, terrified out my wits, trying to pretend I'm not. So, you know, the stories go out from there...

"To have a collection of masterpieces under your belt, and the fact that he has been doing it for as long as he's been doing it with the passion that he has for it? It's always new," Depp said. "It's always new for him. He still gets excited about it, he's still curious. There's one. There's only one of him."

Watch the clip above to see what went down in the studio, which McCartney says is "a home away from home for me."
