Paula's Best Dishes: Twitter Hashtag Pokes Fun At Paula Deen's Unsavory Side As Allegations Of Racism Surface

As accusations of racism by Paula Deen make their way around the web, Black Twitter made its indictment of the Southern chef clear with responses to the trending topic "Paula's Best Dishes."

Riffing off of her TV show of the same name, Twitter user Pope Jeffuhz I and editor and humorist Tracy Clayton, a.k.a BrokeyMcPoverty, launched the #PaulasBestDishes hashtag, prompting a flurry of responses to the allegations against Deen.

According to reports, the celebrity chef admitted to using the N-word and making racist and anti-semitic jokes in a videotaped deposition that took place as part of a court case brought against Deen by former employee Lisa Jackson.

Reactions to the controversy, which made their way to the number one spot on Twitter's trending topics list on Wednesday afternoon, numbered into the hundreds on the day known as Juneteenth, coincidentally. Celebrated yearly on June 19th, the day also known as Freedom Day or Emancipation Day commemorates the announcement of the abolition of slavery in the U.S. state of Texas in 1865.

While a few mean-spirited additions to the hashtag may have slipped through the cracks, most of them attempt to poke fun at what may prove to be the more unsavory side of Paula's character. Here are a few of our favorites:
