The "Pawn Stars" cast is facing a major lawsuit.
Cast members Richard B. Harrison, Richard K. Harrison, Richard C. Harrison and Austen Russell are among the subjects of a $5 million dollar filed by Venture IAB Inc. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the lawsuit, which was filed on Tuesday, claims that History channel executives Nancy Dubuc and Mary Donahue convinced the reality stars to hire Venture IAB rival Michael Camacho of UTA as their agent. The talent agency says that as a result they lost $5 million in commissions.
Venture IAB reportedly signed the "Pawn Stars" cast to written contracts back in 2007 and claim Camacho "stole" their clients in 2010, less than a year after the series launched.
In response to the lawsuit, Camacho told Deadline: “I was in charge of unscripted television at UTA when his agency signed several of the principal characters of Pawn Stars. I have never met or spoken to the former agents or the clients and was unaware of any claim.”
"Pawn Stars," which centers on four men who work at a pawn shop, has been renewed for an additional 80 episodes. And Rick Harrison said earlier this year that he's having a blast on the series.
"I've become so popular that people are flying in from around the country just to show me their weird stuff!" Harrison told HuffPost TV of the perks of being a reality star.
"Pawn Stars" airs on Mondays at 10 p.m. EST on History.
