Pearl And The Beard, Brooklyn Band That's Made D.C. A 2nd Home, Explain Themselves

Pearl And The Beard Explain Their Influences

WASHINGTON -- Pearl and the Beard, a Brooklyn three-piece, returns to the nation's capital on Thursday with a headlining show at the Rock N Roll Hotel. The trio has made D.C. a second home, playing every few months in front of large theater crowds before Ani DiFranco and at underground house shows without amplification.

One of the charming things about the indie folk act are their disparate influences. Emily Hope Price prefers quirky rock classics, Jocelyn Altieri gravitates toward ambitious dance and indie rock and Jeremy Styles keeps things loud without getting nostalgic.
