The Cinema Society with Linda Wells and Allure hosted a special screening of "People Like Us," a new film starring Elizabeth Banks and Chris Pine who play siblings (only Banks' character is unaware she has a brother) in the new drama directed by Alex Kurtzman.

The film is based on Kurtzman's real life experience meeting his own half-sister and half-brother when he was 30-years old, an experience he called "life-changing."

Coca Rocha, Russell Simmons, and Zosia Mamet were also at hand on Monday to celebrate the film at Chelsea Cinemas, with an after party at Hotel Americano.

"People Like Us" also stars Michelle Pfeiffer, who plays the mother of a 24-year old in the film. Pfeiffer recently sat down with the ladies of "The View" to discuss the movie, her age, and her infamous Catwoman suit from 1992's "Batman Returns."
