People All Over Are Watching, Listening To Blasey Ford-Kavanaugh Hearing

People heard Dr. Christine Blasey Ford's words in planes, bars, and on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange.

People all over the country heard Dr. Christine Blasey Ford’s testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday, as evidenced by some truly remarkable images on social media.

People on planes, trains, the floor of the New York Stock Exchange and elsewhere were photographed watching and listening to the historic testimony unfold.

Students ― from colleges like Rutgers University, Hofstra University and Trinity College ― appeared in the majority of images floating around.

Though NBC’s Megyn Kelly said Thursday that she thinks “most Americans are not watching” the hearing, social media is painting a different picture.

Additionally, everyone’s favorite quirky dictionary, Merriam-Webster, shared that Thursday’s top lookups were all Kavanaugh-centric.

The last word on that list, “indelible,” is a reference to Blasey’s response when Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) asked her to describe her most vivid memory of the alleged sexual assault.

“Indelible in the hippocampus is the laughter, the uproarious laughter between the two, and their having fun at my expense,” said Blasey. “I was underneath one of them while the two laughed. Two friends having a really good time with one another.”
