The weather could not be more perfect for the Coconut Grove Arts Festival and St. Stephen's Art Show running all weekend in the center of Coconut Grove. 50 degrees in the morning, 60 degrees during the day, under bright sunshine, is perfect for strolling the festivals.
I got my English tea and clotted cream at the English tea room at St. Stephen's, a yearly ritual I look forward to. As you enter the main Coconut Grove festival, poster artist Duaív, will greet you in between working, as he is creating actual art on the spot. Something worth seeing from this world-renowned artist.
As usual, there is something for everyone including not only art, but lots of food and live music. I collect masks, I like this one.
Duaív created the look of this Ferrari, which is out in front of the Sonesta hotel. He also painted a motorcycle and so many other things, he's really prolific, he just gets into it.
The St. Stephen's Art Show is of course a favorite, it reminds so many of the "old Coconut Grove," with the art in tents under big shady trees.
The festivals are open all weekend, through Monday - 10:30 am to 6 pm each day. Monday is always the quieter day, being a holiday, yet some people work, so it's a bit more manageable.
There is plenty of parking in surface lots and garages.
