Peter Brant Jr. To Interview Daphne Guinness, Ralph Lauren For Interview

Peter Brant Jr. Will Interview John Galliano, Got Tips From Charlie Rose

As the son of billionaire Peter Brant and model Stephanie Seymour, 17-year-old Peter Brant Jr. has what we like to call "friends in high places."

And he's not afraid to call on them -- or to interview them. Women's Wear Daily reports that the rather blessed son, who has made headlines for his intimate interactions with his mother and his dapper style, is starting a new gig as an interviewer at his daddy's magazine, Interview (Brant is the mag's publisher).

Although he is still a student at Greenwich High School, the young Peter Brant will have only the best of the best of interview subjects:

"I will be interviewing Daphne Guinness, who is an old friend of mine. Ralph Lauren, people like that. John Galliano."

And will he receive any media training in preparation for the high-profile interviews? "...having a 45-minute chat with Charlie Rose in Vienna about how to interview someone," Brant Jr. told WWD. "That’s about it."

We can't make this stuff up.

Whatever happens during the potentially volatile interviews (with Galliano, at least), Brant Jr. better hold it together better than his famously feuding parents. Brant and Seymour endured six months of ugly divorce proceedings that involved botched drug tests, "generated more than 12,000 pages of public divorce documents (with thousands more sealed), paid millions of dollars in lawyers fees and fractured an already delicate cadre of family and friends forced to take sides," according to the New York Times.

Surprisingly, it all ended a year ago when the couple decided to end it -- the divorce, that is. They reconciled, with the couple's judge saying, "It's hard work growing old together, but it's actually sort of fun." Oh yeah, because 12,000 pages of divorce documents sounds like tons of fun.

What actually does sound like fun: interviewing Guinness, Galliano and Ralph Lauren at the age of 17. Some kids have all the luck.
