Thanks to several exciting high-end fast-fashion collaborations on the horizon, we've got lots of smart shopping to look forward to: Phillip Lim for Target, Isabel Marant for H&M... and now, Peter Som for Kohl's!

On the eve of the designer's spring 2014 collection walking at New York Fashion Week, Women's Wear Daily announced that Som will design for the store's DesigNation series next spring. The diffusion line will draw inspiration from St. Barths, a tropical landscape we imagine will suit Som's breezy pastels well.

"The collection has a nice easy feeling, which I think is the way women dress now," Som said. According to WWD, Kohls' budget-conscious offerings won't exceed $88 -- great news, since our wallets will be worn out from all the other collaborations this year. And here we thought these diffusion likes were supposed to save us money...

This is Som's second mass-market collaboration; he designed a collection for Anthropologie back in May. Stay tuned for more news on the line's accessible offerings!
