Peter Trovato, Massachusetts Businessman, Founds Soldiers Legacy Fund

After reading about a local soldier killed in his first month of duty in Iraq, Massachusetts businessman Peter Trovato was inspired to start the Massachusetts Soldiers Legacy Fund to ensure that children of his state's fallen heroes are able to attend college.

In the six years since the legacy fund was created, Trovato has raised more than $3 million to ensure that children of local soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan have financial support to pursue higher education.
