Watch The Documentary Linking Peyton Manning, Other NFL Stars To A Doping Ring

A new investigation alleging that Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning and other star athletes used performance-enhancing drugs has rocked the sports world.

Al Jazeera began broadcasting the documentary below, titled "The Dark Side," this week and has also made the full version available online.

British hurdler Liam Collins went undercover for the news network, following several pharmacists and doctors involved in supplying and prescribing steroids to professional athletes. The investigation focuses on Charlie Sly, a pharmacist who reportedly worked at The Guyer Institute of Molecular Medicine, an Indianapolis anti-aging clinic where Manning received treatment after an injury in 2011.

Sly claims in the documentary that the clinic provided Manning with human growth hormone by prescribing it under his wife Ashley's name.

“All the time, we would be sending Ashley Manning drugs,” he says. “Like growth hormone, all the time, everywhere, Florida. And it would never be under Peyton’s name. It would always be under her name.”

After the documentary's release, Sly recanted his hidden camera interview, and the clinic now claims he only worked there as an intern in 2013. However, Al Jazeera defended its reporting and confirmed on Monday that a clinic representative told the network that Sly did work there in 2011.

Manning denied the allegations on Sunday, calling them "complete trash."

In the documentary, Sly also named several other NFL stars as clients, including Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison and Green Bay Packers linebacker Julius Peppers, as well as two baseball players -- Ryan Zimmerman of the Washington Nationals and Ryan Howard of the Philadelphia Phillies.

All of them have also denied any involvement in the doping ring.
