Pharrell Williams' New Video Is A Psychedelic Anime-Video Game Hybrid

Pharrell Williams took a very different approach for the "It Girl" video, which he premiered on "Today" on Tuesday morning.

Instead of dancing with a bunch of models and Miley Cyrus, Pharrell provided an animated video. The relaxed, groovy track wavers between straight clips of anime and random video game-inspired bits, including Pharrell buying new clothes and accessories for a lucky lady and a group of women in a laser-capable whale spaceship. Pharrell appears in different forms throughout the video, including a pencil-drawn face in the sky and a dancing kaleidoscopic outline, and, of course, he's wearing his favorite hat.
