The Cook County state's attorney's office said Thursday it has launched a criminal probe into possible financial irregularities by Metra's longtime executive director.
The transit agency's own investigator, meanwhile, is looking into whether top executive Phil Pagano was collecting money by cashing out future vacation time, sources said.
