Here's Phil Robertson's 'Radical Idea' About Trans Bathroom Rights

Spoiler alert: It sucks.

"Duck Dynasty" patriarch, reality star and known-bigot Phil Robertson has weighed in on the debate of whether transgender individuals have the basic civil right to use the bathroom with which their gender identifies. He included his two cents in an email with Citizens United to help raise money by peddling his support for laws like North Carolina's discriminatory bathroom bill.

"This is Phil Robertson from Duck Commander and I've got a radical idea," Robertson wrote in an email sent to conservatives over the weekend, according to The Hollywood Reporter. "Men should use the men's bathroom and women should use the women's bathroom. Just because a man may 'feel' like a woman doesn't mean he should be able to share a bathroom with my daughter, or yours. That used to be called common sense. Now it's called bigoted."

The email also included a link to a website dubbed StandTallWithPhil.org to collect donations for the Speak Freely initiative, backed by Citizens Union -- a group whose mission is to "reassert the traditional American values of limited government, freedom of enterprise, strong families and national sovereignty and security" -- in conjunction with the duck hunter.

Some don't see eye-to-eye with the former A&E star.

None of this is really too surprising, though, especially since it's all coming from a Trump-supporting man who has said he wants to "rid the earth" of same-sex marriage supporters and thinks atheist rape and murder fantasies make for good public talking points.

He can have his two cents back.
