As summer comes to a close, what better way to celebrate its end than to dine at a farm. Honor summer's bounty by eating a tomato that has been picked just hours before or enjoy homemade pancakes topped with fresh berries from a bush right beside you. When considering that most produce travels 1,500 miles before reaching your plate, why not travel to the farm for your meal instead. Better yet, take a fieldtrip and tour the farm before you dine.
