Residents of Roseburg, Oregon gathered in a park late Thursday night to pay their respects to those who lost their lives and pray for those injured in a shooting at Umpqua Community College earlier that day.
The grieving community continues to wait for updated information on the victims. Ten people have been confirmed dead and seven wounded.
Photos of the vigil show heartbroken community members, including several students of the college, huddled closely. They lit candles and shared stories of grief.
Oregon Gov. Kate Brown also attended the vigil and offered her condolences.
“In our sorrow, we will remember and honor those lost today," she said. "And they will forever be in our hearts."
