Piers Morgan Has Had It With Larry King

Piers Morgan is finally telling everyone just what he thinks of Larry King.

He hit out at his CNN predecessor after King commented on Morgan's exit from CNN. Morgan's show ended in March, and King told Howard Stern Wednesday that he thought CNN had made a "mistake" hiring Morgan to succeed him.

Morgan did not hold back Thursday, tweeting,

Morgan also went after King over ratings and the time King confused Ringo Starr with George Harrison.

When asked how he felt about Morgan's departure, King told Stern that it was like seeing "your mother-in-law [go] over the cliff in your new car." He continued, "I thought it was a mistake, one, to hire a Britisher in prime time and, two, I thought that he made himself too much part of the show.”

King has been less than enthusiastic about Morgan in the past. He's suggested that Morgan may have been "oversold" to CNN, called the British personality "an acceptable host" and said that Morgan's former show was just not his style.
