Pitbull & Ke$ha's Australian Tour Canceled Without Explanation

Pitbull & Ke$ha Cancel Tour Two Weeks Before Kickoff

Pitbull and Ke$ha were set to tour in Australia this month, but their show dates were canceled just two weeks before the first scheduled show.

The duo, who recently collaborated on a new song called "Timber," were hyped to play five concerts in late October and early November. While Pitbull reportedly confirmed the news of the cancelation on his Facebook page, the post no longer appears on his page. "Regrettably the promoter is cancelling [sic] the Australian Tour, refunds will be available at point of purchase. We hope to return to Australia in the not too distant future," Pitbull apparently wrote.

Ke$ha took to Twitter to express her disappointment, saying she also hoped to come to Australia in the future.

While no explanation has been given as to why the shows were canceled, industry insiders have speculated that low ticket sales may be to blame.

Ke$ha and Pitbull were scheduled to perform at Brisbane Entertainment Center on Oct. 30, before heading to Melbourne on Nov. 1, Adelaide on Nov. 3, Perth on Nov. 5, and wrapping in Sydney on Nov. 8.
