Huge news out of the Pizza Hut camp: Pizza Hut perfume, which first took the Internet by storm after it was introduced in Canada last year, will now be available in the U.S. However, this eau de pizza will be available in extremely limited quantities -- only 24 will be given out daily for a short period of time.
Here's how it works:
Starting February 11 -- just in time for Valentine's Day -- Pizza Hut is inviting customers to tweet at @PizzaHut using the hashtag #LastMinuteLovers with a plea to receive a Last Minute Lovers Package. In addition to the Eau de Pizza Hut (actual name), the package also includes a $20 Pizza Hut gift card for Big Pizza Sliders or Lovers Pizza. The promotion runs through February 13, so that means there are only 72 possible packages available.
Not sure if this package is quite romantic enough for your lover? “Eau de Pizza Hut is one of the most sought-after and rarest of scents available," said Kurt Kane, CMO of Pizza Hut in a press release emailed to HuffPost Food. Now would you want to deprive your significant other of the chance to smell like cheese, dough and tomato sauce all day? We think not.
Pizza Hut is no stranger to Valentine's Day promotions. Last year, the chain introduced a $10,010 Valentine's Day engagement package that included a ring, a limo, a fireworks show... and pizza.
