Brad Elterman: Factory 77

Factory 77 will feature several never before printed images of Cherie Currie of The Runaways, Olivia Newton John and John Travolta, and other personalities of the 1970s and '80s. The first of the Made in L.A. Music series will feature live sets by Jason Bentley, host of KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic, and KCRW DJ Jeremy Sole. This free event will feature a performance by Made in L.A. 2012 artist Scott Benzel in addition to extended gallery hours. Presented by the The Hammer and KCRW, the Made in L.A. Music series will take place at the Hammer every Thursday evening through August 9, 2012.

FRIDAY, JUNE 29

L.A. Unified: Teaching School and Closing Reception
ForYourArt at 6020 Wilshire (Miracle Mile)
4 p.m.
Presented in conjunction with L.A. Unified, a week long symposium exploring topics surrounding art school, Katie Bachler's interactive classroom event Teaching School will consider the ways we communicate knowledge and ideas within a group. A closing reception beginning at 7 p.m. will feature refreshments and performances. Both events are free and open to the public.

SATURDAY, JUNE 30

James Hayward, Mary Weatherford, Mark Hagen and Sam Falls
International Art Objects Galleries (Culver City)

Opening reception for a group show featuring works by author James Hayward, contemporary artist Mary Weatherford, conceptual artist Mark Hagen, and multimedia artist Sam Falls. On view through August 11, 2012.

Greatest Hits Party
Royal/T (Culver City)
8 p.m.
Royal/T's venue closing event will feature a gallery walkthrough and talk with curators of past Royal/T exhibitions including Warholian, All of This Is Melting Away, In Bed Together, and Party Animals. A party beginning at 9 p.m. will include drinks, desserts, music, a pop up shop, and a midnight toast. RSVP required to rsvp@royal-t.org.

Roger Hiorns and Luisa Lambri

Opening reception for two shows. Roger Hiorns' exhibition will be featured in Marc Foxx's main gallery. A selection of photographs by Luisa Lambri will be shown in the west gallery. Both shows on view through August 4, 2012.
