THURSDAY, JUNE 2
Neighborhood Public Radio: In The Air
MOCA Grand Avenue (Downtown)

For this installment of their Engagement Party residency, Neighborhood Public Radio will bring together local noise musicians and sound and performance artists for a live performance gesture, exploring sonic experiences of indoor and outdoor spaces, and how sound informs our perceptions of our surroundings. This open-ended score will be transmitted through speakers scattered around the museum as well as broadcast on local airwaves.

Craft and Folk Art Museum (Mid-Wilshire)

Join the Craft and Folk Art Museum for the first ever in a new Etsy Craft Night series. The evening will transform the museum's outdoor courtyard into a hub of crafting and festivities. Make unique projects, explore the galleries, and sip on drinks provided by Stone Brewing Co. Admission is $5.

SATURDAY, JUNE 4
Ed Ruscha: On The Road
Hammer Museum (Westwood)
11am-7pm
The opening day of a new exhibition, organized by Hammer chief curator Douglas Fogle, featuring Ed Ruscha's edition of Jack Kerouac's On The Road. Ruscha's paintings and drawings isolate key sentences and phrases from Kerouac's novel, providing a means to explore Ruscha's own archetypal landscape.

ARTWALK Culver City

Enjoy a free, self-guided tour of over thirty-five galleries and exhibition spaces at the sixth annual ARTWALK Culver City. Don't miss the day's special events, including a performance of Gary Baseman's Giggle and Pop! at the Helms Walk at the Helms Bakery District at 2pm and free, interactive art-making activities throughout the afternoon for kids at Graphaids and Art-Works Studio & Classroom. To get to and from the venues, Culver CityBus will offer an ARTWALK Bus Pass and special shuttle, and for cyclists, the Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition / Culver City Bicycle Coalition will offer Bike Valet from 1-6pm.
