Ladies, would you consider dating a much younger man? If not, it seems that in 2016, you're in the minority.
In a survey of 500 single women across the United States, dating site PlentyOfFish found that 65% of respondents had previously dated someone 7 or more years younger than themselves (24% of which had dated 10-15 years younger!)
Armed with this information, the PlentyOfFish research team set out pinpoint exactly where it was that women were looking for significantly younger dates. So after examining the messaging behaviour of older women contacting younger men across America, the list of the top 10 "Cougar Towns" in the USA was born:
San Antonio - Texas
Houston - Texas
Las Vegas - Nevada
Phoenix - Arizona
Atlanta - Georgia
Jacksonville - Florida
Dallas - Texas
Fort Worth - Texas
Los Angeles - California
El Paso - Texas
With Texas coming in hot, it would appear that the Lone Star State is overrepresented on the list, with 5 of the 10 top spots. With Nevada, Arizona, Georgia, Florida and California rounding out the list, perhaps there's some sort of trend going on here with the warmer weather?
Either way, when asked about the benefits of dating a significantly younger man, the most common answer spoke volumes. 28% of women claiming the top reason was "purely physical and fun", proving that age is no indicator of the amount of fun you can have in your dating life!
