Fashionable Best Friend: HelloStyle's 'Big Girl In A Skinny World'

Some people can pull off fashionably rebellious looks, but not this diva. I've learned to listen to the pros and stay in my line; my lane is certainly not that of a fashion stylist.

I'm very vocal about my fashion sense or lack thereof. I don't have a problem putting matching separates together to make a complete outfit, nor do I have an issue with determining what I like or don't like. My issue (when it comes to fashion) is trying to stay with the trends while wearing items that I'm comfortable with.

I can be a bit of a rebel in some aspects of my life but rebelling when it comes to fashion can be risky. There have been times when I just refused to conform to fashion do's and dont's, resulting in fashion nos instead of yeses!

Some people can pull off fashionably rebellious looks, but not this diva. I've learned to listen to the pros and stay in my line; my lane is certainly not that of a fashion stylist.

Lucky for me, DailyVenusDiva.com's Fashion Editor Kiera Edwards and blogs such as The Curvy Girl's Guide To Style and The Curvy Fashionista help keep my style choices in check.

My most recent guide to all things curvy, fashionable and fabulous is HelloStyle's "Big Girl In A Skinny World."

HelloStyle launched on YouTube on April 15, 2012 by Hearst Magazines, the same company responsible for Elle, Seventeen and Marie Claire.

"Big Girl In A Skinny World" is a monthly column found in Marie Claire and authored by Nicolette Mason.

Style expert Marcy Guevara gives the monthly column a new spin as she hosts the Internet show while engaging with readers and fans in a fresh new way.

Both the column and YouTube show seek to inspire full-figured women to look and feel amazing every day, and help them find clothing and styles that celebrate their curves.

This video is perfect for someone like me because it not only answers my style questions but it also gives me the inside scoop on trends while encouraging me to be my rebellious self and break fashion rules.
