Centennial Neighborhood Residents Woke Up Monday To Tires Being Slashed On More Than 50 Vehicles, Police Say

The Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office says that residents of a Centennial neighborhood woke up Monday morning to slashed tires on nearly 50 vehicles that were parked overnight, The Denver Post reports. This senseless act of vandalism appears to be isolated to an area between East Orchard Road, South Tower Road and Piney Creek in the Creekside at the Farm neighborhood.

Deputies on the scene reported that while some vehicles had only one tire damaged, many others had all four of their tires cut. The vandals also slashed the tires, smashed windows and bent back mounted stop signs on two buses belonging to Belle's and Beau's Academy, an area child care facility, 7news reports.

Witnesses reportedly heard juveniles walking around in the early hours of Monday morning, but didn't report anything unusual until 7 a.m after neighborhood residents began waking up and saw the wake of damage up and down the street, according to Fox31.

Victims spotted a pair of juveniles in the area around 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. driving a black SUV and a silver SAAB, 9news reports, however the teens were not seen tampering with the vehicles at the time.
