Cops Rush Over To 'Collapsed Man,' Find Something Very Different Indeed

The snappy discovery is causing quite a stir.

Concerned cops got a startling surprise after rushing over to assist what they thought was a collapsed man.

After arriving on the scene in Bristol, southwest England, this week they discovered that it wasn’t actually an injured person on the ground— but a 4-foot-long alligator.

It turns out that the unidentified owner of a local reptile store was taking the critter out for a walk when officers mistook it for a prostrate person.

The Avon and Somerset Police department shared a photograph of an officer holding the animal to Twitter on Wednesday.

Gators may be common in Florida, but the find caused quite a stir in England, where the non-native reptiles are a rare sight.
