Pope Francis Hosts Google Hangout To Chat With Students Around The World

Here's Your Chance To 'Hangout' With Pope Francis

Pope Francis is hosting his second Google+ Hangout from the Vatican on Thursday, giving students around the world the opportunity to speak with him directly.

The Hangout was organized by Scholas, an educational organization sponsored by Pope Francis, Google representative Chrissy Persico confirmed on Wednesday. The pontiff will chat with students from Brazil, India, Spain and the United States at 10 a.m. Eastern time about the role technology plays in their education.

"This week, the Pope will once again remind us that all it takes to connect with others is the will to reach out," Carlo D'Asaro Biondo, Google's president of strategic relationships for Europe, Middle East and Africa, said in a blog post on Tuesday.

"The kids will share a glimpse into their lives and talk about their dreams with Pope Francis — and the world."
