When the first porn star in space sends a message back to Earth next year, we can only hope that she'll pay tribute to Neil Armstrong's famous Apollo 11 transmission with a twist on his famous quote. To say the least, it will give new meaning to the term, "Tranquility Base."
Dave Moye was fast to report on adult film start Coco Brown's bid to have an out of this world experience that's actually out of this world.
The "Big Booty Bomb 2" star is currently training SpaceXC, a private company in the Netherlands, to blast off in Spring 2014.
Moye and Andy Campbell's tag-team coverage of the Adult Video News Awards in Las Vegas last month certainly seems to have had an impact on their reportage -- and on HuffPost Weird News.
Campbell was quick to file when porn legend Ron Jeremy was taken to a Los Angeles hospital for emergency surgery on an aneurysm near his heart. That story led all weird news last week with 5.6 million page views.
Hours later, Moye appeared with the infamous "Debbie Does Dallas" actress Robin Byrd on HuffPost Live, and he nearly paid tribute to the ailing porn star in the most appropriate way possible -- stripped from the waist up -- albeit by accident.
Moye, who works from his San Diego home, was preparing to get into the shower for his HuffPost Live appearance via Google Chat. When he clicked on a link from the on-air producer prematurely, he nearly found out just how live HuffPost Live can be.
Luckily, we did not see a shirtless Moye on camera -- though like Jeremy, he could aptly be nicknamed "The Hedgehog." It does explain, however, why he breathlessly joined the segment midway.
Otherwise, Moye was his busy, productive self. He filed on a woman who voraciously eats cat hair, a toddler that got a pencil stuck in her brain, and a seal named "Smartie" that just may have saved his own life by hiding in a car, making for one hell of a photo op.
Other notable stories this week: World leaders prepared for first contact with ET, Real-Life Barbie and Real-Life Ken trash-talked each other, and a woman modeled cocaine undies at JFK.
