Porsche 918 Spyder Hybrid: The Sexiest Hybrid Car Yet? (VIDEO)

It's the car that's "stunning" attendees at the Geneva auto show.

The Porsche 918 Spyder Hybrid is most likely the sexiest -- and one of the fastest -- eco-friendly cars to hit the market. The car is even faster, for example, than Porsche's Carrera GT.

The details are sure to thrill both gearheads and the green-minded. At 78 miles per gallon and 500 horsepower and a top speed of about 189 miles per hour, it can be driven by electric power only with a range of up to 15 miles.

While it's still in the concept stages, The New York Times's Wheels blog is betting that you'll see it in production sometime soon: "Porsche is not saying whether the 918 Spyder concept will go into production, but don't bet against it. The technology is just too promising, the styling too delectable."

Porsche says, "it's destined to change the way we drive sports cars." If this rather epic promotional video is any indication, they could be right.
