The holiday season promises fun, love and good times with family and friends. Or does it? For a lot of people in business, the holidays can be stressful.

Does your business slow down during the Holiday season? How do you stay positive, on track and in the black? Here's a few tips I share with my coaching clients...

Tip 1 - Understand the Ebb and Flow of Your Business

Entrepreneurs are an optimistic bunch but when the yearly ebb happens, many still want to believe that THIS year it will be different. As such, they tend to start fretting and making knee-jerk decisions. STOP! Come to terms that every business has ebb and flow times and rather than freaking out - make a plan for future growth that keeps your income at a higher level throughout the year.

Tip 2 - Holiday Mode or Planning Mode? Planning!!

Since many people check out to take holidays or check out mentally and are in holiday-mode - use this quieter time to create a vision for your next year and plan around it. Finally you have the time you wish you had during your busy times - use it wisely!

Tip 3 - Organize the Heck Out of Your Office

During your 'Flow' times when you wish you had time to clean out your desk, your drawers and your office - now take time to kick back and make a day (or two) of it.

Tip 4 - Mistletoe, Snowmen and Fireside Chats

Whatever your pleasure is - NOW is the time to kick back, relax and have fun. Just do it - you'll have plenty of time in the New Year to be busy... promise. (Didn't it happen this past year?)

Tip 5 - Networking Fun

Rather than hibernating, get out and enjoy the holiday parties - network, network, network all the while you're having fun. Make this casual time a fun time to connect with others - how can you help them get what they want?

Remember, you can do this on your own but you don't have to go it alone, I'm here to help -- connect with me about my coaching programs -- I truly am great helping people identify and live their brilliance!
