"If you don't know where you are going, any road will take you there", rhymed the Cheshire Cat in Lewis Carroll's, " Alice in Wonderland". The 18th Annual Postcards From The Edge held it's opening benefit party at Sikkema Jenkins & Co. on Friday, January 29th. The exhibition features 1500 postcard sized original art on paper donated by established and emerging artist from the art world. The art benefit has a creative twist as all artwork is displayed anonymously. The provenance of the art is revealed after the sale and priced at $85.00 each. Nonetheless, collectors walk away with something beautiful, a piece of art they love. The exhibition is free and open to the public until Sunday, January 31st. All proceeds from the sale support the work of Visual Aids.

Since 1998,Visual AIDS, has provided grants, exhibitions, public events, publications and preservation to HIV+ artists. The programs are an address to the devastation of the AIDS crisis on the arts community. Larger works of art are silent auction online at Artnet until February 1st.
