'Power Of 12': MTV Creates New Film About Young Voters

MTV Asks: Do Politicians Care About Young People?

Get More: Music News

MTV has launched a brand new political campaign for young people called "The Power Of 12." So, what makes this one different from previous campaigns, like their longstanding "Choose Or Lose" program? Two words: Fantasy football.

Each "Fantasy Election '12" player can draft presidential candidates from both parties and then score them depending on how the politicians perform in speeches, media interviews, and other events. You can also earn points the more involved you get in issues and through checking into political events regularly. It goes live in the fall.

The above video is from the documentary MTV recently aired called "Our Voice," an early teaser for the Power of 12 campaign. The film follows Andrew Jenks, a 25-year-old politics buff who traveled across the country asking politicians questions about issues that matter to young people.

What do you think of the new campaign? Are you into the "Fantasy Scoring" twist? Sound off in the comments below or tweet us your thoughts @huffposthigh.
