"Pretty Little Liars" did a pretty good job at answering our most pressing questions with their midseason finale. We found out who A was, who killed Bethany, who killed Toby's mom and who both Red Coat and Black Widow were.
That doesn't mean the mystery is over. Nope, not even close. Our favorite Liars, who've experienced A-free lives for five years, will be back in Rosewood before we know it. And with Season 6B only a few months away, we're bound to be served a big ol' platter of new questions.
Ashley Benson, Troian Bellisario, Lucy Hale, Shay Mitchell and writer I. Marlene King recently appeared at New York Comic Con and PaleyFest, where they dished on what's to come. And, much to our delight, they also released the first four minutes of the winter premiere.
So, we've taken it upon ourselves to gather everything we know (so far) about life in Rosewood after the time jump. You're welcome.
(You should probably take a deep breath right here.)

First off, there's a brand new intro!
Well, it's not totally brand new; it looks exactly the same, with the addition of Alison standing over the coffin with the girls. Oh, and Emily does the "shhhhh" at the end.
The girls (or maybe just Ali) are still afraid of someone.
As the sneak peek from the finale showed us, the Liars return to Rosewood for some unknown reason (most likely to help Ali). They go to meet Ali/Mrs. Rollins in her classroom to warn her that "he" is coming. But who is "he"? We still don't know.
Alison follows in Ezra's footsteps, career-wise.
Ali has become a teacher, and in fact, teaches at Rosewood (somebody had to stay there) in the same classroom Ezra/Mr. Fitz used to occupy.
"I love her story. I was surprised that I was gonna be a teacher. I was kind of thrown off-guard, wasn’t sure where she was going, but I didn’t think it was gonna be a teacher," she said at NYCC.
Ali's also on good terms with her sister Charlotte DiLaurentis (aka CeCe Drake), who was revealed as A before the time jump.
Sasha Pieterse, who plays Ali, told People her relationship with CeCe is "good and healthy."
During PaleyFest, Pieterse explained, "Charlotte's gotten a lot better, that's kind of how we open. I'm asking the girls to basically come back and approve of Charlotte's trial to be let out as a normal citizen, which is hard, obviously. It brings a lot of turmoil back."
Oh, and Ali will eventually become Mrs. Rollins, as we saw in the sneak peek that played at the end of last season. The identity of Dr. Rollins (played by Huw Collins) was revealed in the four-minute season premiere sneak peek.
Pieterse told MTV, "When we come back, she’s not married yet, but you see her relationship transform and this this love story with [Dr. Rollins] begins. It’s very cute, and I really like it. It’s a good direction, and I think the fans, as much as they’re all for Emison, are still going to like this … I’m finally normal!"
Aria enters the publishing industry and releases a book.
Aria turned her passion for writing into a physical book. She's also still in some sort of relationship with Ezra, though it's not romantic (yet ... amiright?).
Lucy Hale told People, "Where they sort of left off, she's going away to college. That's what happens, you break up with the person you love, you go in different directions, and so I don't really know what their contact was in those five years. I want to say they probably didn't talk at all, because there is a scene in an episode back where she realizes he's back in town and you can tell there's still that butterflies-in-her-stomach feeling. But she's in a relationship, she's very happy and in love."
That's right: There's another man in her life, but at NYCC, Hale admitted she thinks Ezra and Aria will always be in each other's lives, in some shape or form (good news for the Ezria fans of the world). She also told MTV, "No matter how old they are, they are still each other’s first loves, so there’s that innocence to it as well. I love them together. It’s like a real, genuine relationship, so I’m curious to see where it will go."
Aria's parents will also be back with a "really great storyline," Hale told Entertainment Weekly. "You will see Holly and Chad, who play Byron and Ella, again."
(Side note: That means the moms definitely made it out of the basement! According to EW, we'll find out their fate in the series' November special.)
Spencer finds a career in the political world, because of course she does.
Spencer lives in (a terrible green-screen version of) D.C. and is working in politics (obviously). She also got bangs! Troian Bellisario revealed that she got to choose Spencer's new look herself.
"It was a funny thing where everybody was like, 'You can do whatever with your hair!' I’m like, 'OK!' I don’t even know what that would be -- what, like, I’m gonna go with, like, bright red or something? No, it’s Spencer. So I had to put my dreams of lavender hair away," she said at NYCC.
Spencer will also apparently be working closely with her mother, Veronica, who is running for a Senate seat.
Show writer I. Marlene King told MTV, "In 6B, we see them working very closely together on something. It brings them closer together. There’s a little more friction between Mr. Hastings and Spencer, but Veronica and Spencer have a very tight bond in this upcoming season."
As far as Spoby goes, things aren't looking so good.
"He [Toby] is still a cop, but he lives in Rosewood, she lives in Washington, D.C., so there's a very complicated and long history between them, and that doesn't often lead to a very good relationship," Bellisario told People.
Emily moves to California to maybe (or maybe not) be with Paige.
Shay Mitchell revealed at NYCC that Emily moved out west to attend Pepperdine University.
"We always spoke about Emily wanting to go to California, and Paige left and went to California, so that could be maybe a little reason," she said.
Emily also seems to be working as a bartender (one step up from barista!), making her the only one of the Liars who seemingly has a regular 23-year-old person job.
Hanna gets a glamorous job in fashion, a la "The Devil Wears Prada."
Ashley Benson told the crowd at NYCC, "Hanna's super fun. She traveled the world, she's working in fashion, like 'The Devil Wears Prada.'"
A teaser shown at NYCC (shared on Twitter by someone in the crowd) also revealed that Hanna lives in New York and is engaged. In a teaser she seems to be kissing someone who is NOT Caleb. We repeat: NOT CALEB. However, Hanna's high school sweetheart is also living in the Big Apple, so who knows what could happen.
Lucas returns to Rosewood!
We don't know much about his storyline, but we do know he has a Ms. Pac-Man machine in his new apartment.
Melissa and Wren are (probably) back together.
Bellisario revealed to People that Spencer and her sister, Melissa, are on good terms after the jump.
"After Melissa kind of came out with the fact that she tried to protect her by burying Bethany, I think that that really changed their sister dynamic, and I think that Spencer's relationship with Wren probably became very familial," she said. "I think she probably was like, 'This person is back with my sister and he makes her happy and she makes him happy,' so I think she just wanted to become a sister."
Mrs. D's killer is kind of, maybe, sort of revealed.
"In a way, you do [find out]," Pieterse told Entertainment Weekly. "It’s complicated but it all pans out in the end. I think it’s a very fun way of telling this story. And as much as it’s very similar to the way we tell stories, it’s still kind of a play on it."
There's more to the Jason and CeCe storyline than we currently know.
King teased the crowd at PaleyFest by telling them that the Jason-CeCe dating story is a little more complex than we think. When she was met with uncomfortable shifting and groans, according to Vulture, she responded, "No, but you haven’t heard the complete story of that. You might not say 'gross' by the end of the story."
I. Marlene King already knows how the entire series will end.
"We know what the big reveal in that final episode will be and who it will be, and we’ll just have fun figuring out the 'how' of getting there along the way," King explained at PaleyFest.
We know it's a lot to handle.
"Pretty Little Liars" returns with a special episode on Nov. 24, and Season 6B premieres on Jan. 12. Both will air at 8 p.m. ET on ABC Family/Freeform.
