'Pretty Little Liars' Star Troian Bellisario Is 'So Appalled' By Taylor Swift's 'False Feminism'

Got a secret, but she can't keep it.

Troian Bellisario isn’t here for Taylor Swift and her #squadgoals brand of feminism.

In a recent interview with Cosmopolitan, the “Pretty Little Liars” star was asked whose side she was on amidst the Kim Kardashian and Swift drama. The actress wanted nothing to do with the Kardashians and chose Team Taylor ― before ripping the singer apart.

“Oh god, I have such an aversion to the Kardashians because I literally don’t understand people’s obsession with them,” Bellisario said. “I don’t want to accept them as our closest thing to a royal family, so I guess I would be Team Taylor Swift?”

But it actually sounds like she wouldn’t.

“However, I’m so appalled by what I consider to be her false feminism,” Bellisario said. “It seems like she’s this person who’s like, ‘Sisterhood!’ And then she does nothing but tear down the women that were once her friends.”

The Huffington Post’s own Zeba Blay tackled Swift’s convenient feminism after it was revealed she did know of (and approved) Kanye West’s lyric about her in his song “Famous.”

“Swift’s brand of problematic, exclusive feminism has often been at the center of her narrative,” Blay wrote. “While it was totally her right to do so, Swift approving of the ‘me and Taylor might still have sex line,’ and disapproving of ‘I made that bitch famous’ line feels like a bit of a contradiction, a moment in which feminism was not as convenient as the publicity that the song would generate.”

Though Bellisario also manages to tear down a few women herself in the interview, she does make a valid point about Swift. But who are we kidding? If there were any squad to fear it would be Spencer, Allison, Aria, Emily and Hannah. Those girls do not come to play.
