The First 'Pride And Prejudice And Zombies' Trailer Is ... Something

It is a truth universally acknowledged that this movie will go all-out on zombie gore.

We knew "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" was coming, we just didn't know what to expect. And now ... we still don't.

The comedy-horror film adaption of Seth Grahame-Smith's 2009 parody of Jane Austen's 1813 classic (phew) isn't set for release until February 2016, but you can watch the first trailer above.

Lily James stars as a(n even more) badass iteration of Elizabeth Bennet, whom we see here flanked by her sisters to fight the undead with little regard for their gowns. Lena Headey plays a yet-unnamed character. Our Mr. Darcy is Sam Riley of "Maleficent" fame, while Burr Steers, best known for "Charlie St. Cloud," directs.

Will "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" be two hours of good, campy fun? A mess of overwrought gore? A chance to witness Cersei Lannister's great cosmic reward: becoming the living dead??? Stay tuned.
