Prince’s catalog is stunning not only due to its creativity, but because of its extensiveness. Over nearly 40 years of writing and recording, Prince released 39 solo studio albums, earning 7 Grammys.

Prince was protective of his art, and took issue with the impact of the Internet on music and the people who make it. But while Prince pulled most of his music from most streaming services last year, it does remain available on Tidal and iTunes.

In honor of the icon, several radio stations also went wall-to-wall Prince upon news of his death, including Minnesota Public Radio’s The Current, Seattle’s KEXP and UPenn's WXPNFM.

KEXP DJ Kevin Cole, a friend and DJ for Prince’s private parties in Minneapolis, shared poignant remembrances of the artist on Thursday. The segment can be accessed via KEXP’s online show archive (around 1:52 p.m. Pacific).
