Princess Charlene & Prince Albert II Dance Away The Night At Red Cross Ball In Monaco (PHOTOS)

PHOTOS: Dancing The Night Away!

While Kate and Will were busy cuddling up a storm during this week's Olympic festivities, some other royals -- both former Olympians themselves -- headed back to their homeland to dance the weekend away in style.

Princess Charlene and Prince Albert II left London, where they caught a few matches (and cozied up rather awkwardly), and returned home to Monaco, where both gussied up in their typical way to attend the Red Cross Ball Gala, one of Monaco's biggest annual events.

Charlene, of course, flaunted her new short hair, and she channeled a Greek goddess in her gold sequined dress with a long flowing white bottom. Prince Albert donned his favorite white tux, and the two went for a spin on the dance floor. Although, we couldn't help but note a few fashion faux-pas: Albert's tux pants seemed waaaay too long, and the boxiness of Charlene's sequined bodice kind of overwhelmed her.

Anyway! Her Serene Highness was an Olympic swimmer for her native South Africa; Albert is a former bobsledder. But it looks like the pair have some moves off the courts (Out of the pool? Off the... bobsled track?) as well.

Aww. Can someone put these pictures together and make a flipbook for us?
